Brent D. Haverstock, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Brent Haverstock was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan and graduated from Des Moines University with the degree Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation he completed a two-year Residency in Podiatric Surgery at Deaconess Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri followed by a one-year Podiatric Surgical Fellowship at Broadlawns Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa. At the end of his surgical training in Des Moines, Dr. Haverstock accepted a clinical Fellowship in diabetic limb-salvage at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital - Joslin Center for Diabetes, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Haverstock is the Chief of the Division of Podiatric Surgery for the Calgary Health Region and an attending staff podiatric surgeon at the Peter Lougheed Centre. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Haverstock is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a member of the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and Canadian Diabetes Association. His specialized interests lie in the area of diabetes related foot complications, forefoot reconstructive surgery and ankle arthroscopic surgery. He has collaborated on numerous research projects and authored and co-authored 19 scientific publications including two book chapters.

Dr. Haverstock and his wife Karen have two children: Challen and Jack. Karen is the head coach for the Women's Competitive Program at Altadore Gymnastics Club. Challen is an avid gymnast and Jack plays hockey. Dr. Haverstock enjoys playing hockey, attending Calgary Flames games, running and writing.
